About Dazzling Software

Dazzling Software was created primarily as an outlet for my creative side, a place for me to ditribute software that I have developed and to develop a repuation for high quality solutions. Since it was first concieved Dazzling Software has grown into a Consulting and Software Development house.

Why the Atom/Gyroscope as a logo? I chose it because to me it is a symbol of perfection, precision and balance. Something I strive for and want Dazzling Software to represent. In any design discipline there will always be compromises between cost, value, features, technology, complexity and ease of use. All these things are in constant conflict with one another and the art is to balance them to achieve perfection within the constraints and goals of the project.

My intention is to build relationships with other good quality programmers and companies and build a base of people on whom I can call to sub-contract large projects, and vice versa with them being able to call on me. Software development has grown to the stage where it is becoming impossible to be a master of all the disciplines, which is why I believe the future may lie in collaboration, where each has his own field of expertice and we call on one another as sub-contractors.

My love for developing software, solving problems, and coding means that I always intend to be involved in the actuall coding of applications but at the same time I do not want to be just a 'coder' but actively involved in finding the best solution to a problem. To be able to provide this kind of service requires more than just the ability to develop software which is where I believe I have the added benefit of originally being employed outside of the IT field as a Design Draughtsman in the Mechanical Engineering field. This provided me with the oportunity to learn how bussinesses function and in particular the manufacturing industry. The engineering field also provided a good training in analysing requirements and finding the best solution balancing cost, functionality, ease of use, and 'nice to haves'. This is why Dazzling Software is able to provide not just software and support but the abality to analyse situations and provide customers with the best guidance, advice and solution.
