This is
an Alarm and Event Scheduling application with almost unlimited
potential and power. The application allows you to set various types
of events some of the events that make this application stand out
from it's peers is it's ability to control Dial-Up connections,
Services, Shutdown Applications and play MP3 files. It also has the
ability to run scripts which gives it almost unlimited power as with
VBScript, JavaScript, and the other scripting languages (you must
insall the script engine seperately) allow you to schedule and
automate almost any task.
From the screenshots alongside you can see the various functions
and time schedules that the application supports. The application
can be minimised to the system tray and by default is launched on
system startup. Various configuration options are available
including the ability to be have different Event Lists for
individual users and automatically load the correct list for the
logged on person or to have one list for all users.
To me this is not just a handy toy or utility for the home or
office user but powerful ally for developers. I have in the past
written applications that have had to control Dial-Up connections or
run scripts according to a schedule. With this application I now
never have to worry about including that sort of functionality in an
application again.
Backgound:
This application arose from a personal need,
as do most applications I suppose. I had been searching for an
application for a long time that would function as an alarm clock
and wake me by playing an MP3. All the applications I downloaded
though could only play wav files which was not at all suitable as a
wav file is ±8 times as large as the MP3 equivalent. So I lived
without an alarm application. Then I needed an application that
would control my Dial-Up connecting and disconnecting me at specific
times. Again I searched and no suitable applications existed. This
time I sat down and wrote one. Adding the features I wanted and
including the ones that I had found in other applications of this
type. After using the application for a while I realised that there
were a few other capabilities that would really handy to have and so
I added a few extra features to arrive at the application as you see
it today.

BUG FIX: Shutdown and ReBoot events did not work on Windows ME and 9x machines.
BUG FIX: Time was not displaying functioning correctly when date/time format was set differently.
NEW FEATURE: Added an Event Update check when Importing and starting Application. This will update Hourly, Daily and Weekly events to the current day or the nearest due day after today. I did this as it can be annoying having the application run a weeks worth of daily or worse yet Hourly events.
NEW FEATURE: Added BackUp Events File.
NEW FEATURE: Added Copy Event.
